Ciné-Club:
Our ciné-club offers you a social opportunity to practice your French. It is free and open to all our students who feel ready to discuss a movie in French. It is also an occasion to meet other students and to share your experiences.

At each meeting, we choose a French movie that we will watch on our own and will discuss at the next session in French. Students take turns writing questions in French about the movie.

We meet once a month at each other house around refreshments. Everyone is welcome whatever their level. Some talk a lot, some just listen until they are ready to talk. It is a great occasion to socialize, to discover great French movies and to practice your French in an informal setting.

Children's Lessons:
Françoise has extensive experience teaching children of all ages in after school programs in the Twin Cities and also in private lessons. From kindergarten to high school she has helped children learn French in a fun way with games, songs, a wide variety of hands on activities.

Immersion Program:
The French Language Connectionoffers the opportunity to spend one or more weeks in Paris alone with an instructor speaking nothing but French. This is a unique opportunity. Most immersion programs will accept a group of students and require that they speak Frrench at all time. Sometimes students are with an instructor who corrects them, other times they are by themselves listening to the incorrrect FrenchÊof the other students. Just like we believe in individual attention for french lessons, we believe that the best learning in an immersion program takes place with one instructor per student. Because we want our students to enjoy themselves, we will accept only qualified applicants. Please contact us for dates, prices and to set up an interview. In addition to our week long immersion program, we will offer, beginning in september 2010,Ê mini immersions of 3 days at theÊ introductory price of $1000.

Trip Preparation:
If you wish to travel to France but do not have the time to learn French, The French Language Connection can be extremely useful.

-The French Language Connection's instructor will teach you the basics of French pronunciation and grammar so that you can say any phrase you read in a phrase book.
- We will teach you simple phrases suitable to all the situations you may encounter.
- You will discover many dimensions of French culture so that you can navigate situations which may arise during your stay in France.
- We will give you invaluable tips on living and traveling in France, including: how to take the subway, the train, and even how to deal with French bathrooms.

If you are nervous about traveling to France and do not speak the language, you will be able to start your trip prepared, relaxed and confident. Trip preparation takes 8 to 10 hours.
